Legacy Core

Alliance Partners

Help the businesses you serve earn something verifiable.

Legacy Core™ runs a marketplace partner program. Credentialed businesses pick Alliance Partners from a public directory. No exclusive territories.

Why partner with Legacy Core

A Trust Credential your clients can actually earn.

Most cybersecurity offerings for small business are vague, expensive, or both. Legacy Core gives you a concrete credential to point at and a Public Business Trust Registry that holds credentialed businesses accountable.

Who we partner with

The advisers small businesses already trust.

Legacy Core partners with the organizations and advisers small businesses turn to when they need a trusted answer.

  • Chambers of commerce

Offer member businesses a credentialing pathway that orients to recognized cybersecurity readiness frameworks and is visible in a public registry.

  • Business associations

Industry associations and professional networks supporting CPAs, attorneys, brokers, medical and dental practices, and other professional services firms.

  • Insurance brokers

Brokers serving small business commercial lines who want their book to demonstrate verifiable cybersecurity readiness.

  • Cyber insurance & risk advisers

Specialists who help small businesses translate readiness gaps into insurable posture, with a credential clients can verify.

  • CPAs and bookkeepers

Trusted advisers whose clients ask "what should we be doing about cybersecurity?" Now there is a credentialing pathway to point at.

  • Medical and dental practice consultants

Practice management and compliance consultants supporting healthcare practices that handle sensitive client data.

  • Cybersecurity service providers

Vetted MSSPs, MSPs, and vCISO practices who help businesses implement cybersecurity improvements. Partners implement. Legacy Core decides whether Silver or Gold has been earned.

Who does what

How the ecosystem works after credentialing.

Implementation providers help businesses improve. Legacy Core determines whether the credential has been earned. Alliance Partners may participate in referral and ecosystem opportunities.

  1. 1

    Business

Understands readiness, completes the credentialing pathway, implements improvements where needed, and supplies required information and evidence.

  2. 2

    Legacy Core

Maintains the credentialing pathway and credential standard, reviews the application, determines credential status, and issues the Trust Badge when requirements are met.

  3. 3

    Alliance Partners and qualified providers

May help implement cybersecurity improvements and submit evidence-backed attestations. Partner attestation is not independent review. They do not issue Legacy Core credentials.

  4. 4

    Public Business Trust Registry

Lets customers and other stakeholders check the business's current Legacy Core credential status.

Implementation is separate from credentialing authority. See Alliance Partners · Governance · Become a Verification Partner

Implementation is separate from credentialing. Alliance Partners may implement security. They cannot purchase, guarantee, or self-award a Trust Badge.

Post-credential flow

After the badge: implementation is separate.

Alliance Partners may help with cybersecurity work. Using a partner is not required to stay credentialed, and buying partner work does not guarantee a higher badge.

  1. After credentialing

The business has documented the gaps

The readiness assessment and credentialing pathway give the business language for what clients, insurers, and partners expect, before anyone sells a service package.

  2. Partner selection

They can choose from the Alliance Partner Directory

If a business wants implementation help, it can pick a vetted Alliance Partner. Using a partner is not required to stay credentialed.

  3. Implementation

    Partners deliver the right work

MSSP, insurance, and advisory work can start with shared context: the business already has a credentialing pathway and a public trust signal, not a cold fear pitch.

  4. Keep progressing

Partners help. Legacy Core still issues the credential.

Alliance Partners may participate in referral and ecosystem opportunities. They cannot purchase, guarantee, or self-award a Trust Badge.

The marketplace model

No exclusive territories. The directory rewards good work.

Credentialed businesses choose their Alliance Partner from a public directory. Partners earn visibility by producing good outcomes for the businesses they serve, not by claiming a region or paying for placement.

The same principle applies to credentials: Alliance Partners may implement security. Legacy Core determines whether the Legacy Core credential has been earned. Partners cannot purchase, guarantee, or self-award a Trust Badge.

  1. Step 1

    Introduce the credential

Share the Get Credentialed page with a small business you serve. The Trust Badge is what their clients can verify at the end of the pathway.

  2. Step 2

    Help them get started

Referral Partners introduce businesses to Legacy Core. Alliance Partners may help the business implement cybersecurity improvements. Legacy Core still reviews eligibility under the applicable credential standard.

  3. Step 3

    Client earns their credential

The business completes the credentialing pathway, passes review, and is listed in the Public Business Trust Registry with a verifiable Trust Badge.

  4. Step 4

    Stay in the ecosystem

Alliance Partners stay visible in the Partner Directory and may continue helping the credentialed business strengthen readiness. Badge decisions stay with Legacy Core.

Qualified security reviewers who want to evaluate evidence for Legacy Core can become a Verification Partner. We will discuss scope, evidence requirements, qualifications, and conflicts of interest. Appointment is not automatic.
